its hard to find a good mixer that suits all your needs. rodec? you dont like how the fader works or you dont like the fader cap? if you dont like how it works, what exactly ? the fader curve? if you buy a good mixer you can modify most of that stuff, for example change fader caps or faders, or mod...

its not just cosmetic. the old ones were hand made in a factory, the new ones are all chinese parts made on an assembly line. i find the newer ones to sound a bit different and be a little less sturdy - most everyone i know says the same, too. i can't tell you a single person with the newer version...
