Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm ALL about more control over the music you play. I love that you can edit, effect, loop, max, etc. when DJing, especially if done tastefully. I just wanted to throw out the question as for production, if people find themselves doing less obvious edits/tricks, because the d...

Korg Monopoly was always one of my favorites. Wicked sounds. Mike Banks (UR) quoted it as his favorite synth of all time.

I originally wrote the post because I don't think that we can deny that a techno dj has become an essential part of the experience of the set, whether blending, effecting, looping, or what not, the genre moved the dj beyond just someone being a human jukebox. I'm from the Detroit area and remember w...

This series was great. 4th Kind was a decent film with a few scary scenes, but if you haven't seen it, the must see alien movie, imo, is "Communion" staring Christopher Walken. This is my favorite Walken roll ever, and the best movie ever done based on a "true story" abduction experience.

I was up north in Michigan, about 4 hours north of Detroit, with a friend and his family when we saw the northern lights. We had no idea they were coming. Up there they were primarily green, pink, and blue. They weren't super bright in the sky, more almost fog or mist like, but it was still fantasti...
