send everyone an email, and the users who don't reply within one month delete them....
I guess you will end up with <100 active-everyday-posting-users

i would say there are only around 2-300 active users at most

i think in every forum/community are more inactive than active users on board.

not necessarily.
not everyone's after livesets etc.
there might be people who register & lose interest after some time,
or plain readers who don't want/have time to get active themselves.
