[track] Size - In Holland

Post by Size »

After a busy graduation, I finally have time to produce some music. Yesterday I made this track, I am thinking of adding some subtile layers and maybe edit a bit more, cause I am stuck in it now, but what do you think of it? Is it worth finish it? Tell me please..

a little to percussive for my taste, you should maybe introduce a main pitched drum, with a minimal melody

more atmosphere, maybe?

a build up perhaps?

nice clean sounding mix i'd say.
and if it has to be percussive, maybe push it over the edge with some more percussion layers? 8)

hmmm too dry i thought, especially the kick drum and snare, needs alot more processing to help everything gel together more, whilst sounding clean there wasnt much depth to each element or on the whole, and the bass could go way way lower in terms of freq's and depth, maybe get some really low sub in there. Noticed the odd out of time edit too, which sometimes works but wasnt cut/timed properly here

good starting blocks though
