Our curiosity for Romanian talents never stops and on our newest release, a new family member wants to express himself. Ciprian Stan is a promising producer. Heavier on the drums than Ciprian’s original, M-Phunk delivers a stripped back, tech-friendly re-rub that reinforces his lofty reputation for balancing deep, evocative grooves with hiplashing rhythms to create a cut guaranteed to shake the floor. Rounding out the package is ‘Watchtower’, a cut that sees Ciprian go down a more contemplative minimal route, creatively built sound structures, cleverly arranged with a variety of new elements and headed by a funky beat to create a brooding atmosphere that’d put it right at home in a grungy warehouse environment.
