not very good. get a better quality set second hand instead of buying these new. if someone is basically giving them to you then they'll do ok, but there are some cheaper sets that will perform a bit better imo

you'd need an amp but I made a few tunes with these, really depends what amp you use but they are surprisingly good (I bought them for $50 including tax or maybe a bit less)

You really need to go and listen to them mate... most of us haven't heard the speakers you are listing.
Normally, the more you spend the better the monitors will be. That said, almost any monitors are better than hi-fi or computer speakers. There are some pretty good threads on here about monitors, best check them out.
To me its the most important tool in the studio...
