Re: Korg doing an proper analog synth?

well yeah i do agree that there is enough new monosynths..
but new poly analogs are super expensive.. i can´t understand who will pay 700euros? from tetra with only four voices innit
for that money you can still get way better synths from secondhand market

Re: Korg doing an proper analog synth?
you can have a legacy hardware old vintage classic synth for that money
but it comes with 30+ years old component, which will eventually fail on you, or need recap to sound up to specs, etc etc.
buying new stuff can be tricky (made in asia, cheap labour, cutting corners here and there) but you have new electronic component which should last some years.... at least when buying form some respectable brands.

well yeah you are right on that one, but the thing really with the older ones that you _can_ still fix them by yourself..
but i´m not continue this polysynth discussion anymore because i already have shitloads of them in my studio
just wanting to get something cheaper for my live rig than carrying an sh-101 around..
