Post by MarcAshken »

if you could pick any laptop for performing live, running ableton, midi controllers etc, what would it be an why? Someone mentioned dual processor laptops coming out real soon, any real advantages? Any help would be great, many thanks.

No, Intel Macs are going to be natively supported in 5.2, which is due out any day now. Multiple core/processor support is coming in 6.0, due out this Fall.

Consider a Macbook Pro. I tried out a 5.2 beta on one, and it worked really well.

no good! you need 7200rpm for a safe use of audio softs... (well, you don't need it, but it's very high on the "recommended" list)
