looks like those ram STC-8 carts are hard to come by... will keep my eye out for them on e-bay. If you find a stockpile of them let me know :)

they are just bog standard memory carts.

you can get sequencer ones too, but they are different.

If anybody here comes across these cartridges locally or something... i'm very interested in the RAM one! Thanks!

The synth does sound amazing. The envelopes are really powerful and there are tons of modulation options. Its a bit of a pain to program because the sounds do not update in real time like an analogue, You have to retrigger the sound every time you make a change to hear it. But other than that i love it. cheers!

mine isnt like that. i make a change and very slowely it happens. like if i have the filter closed and then open it quickly it takes a few seconds to register and then it does it. i dont have to start the clip again.

if anyone has any information about the format of those esq-1/sq-80 carts, let me know. i was working a few years ago on a 4x-size RAM cart; considering i own a few 2x ones that have a switch on them to flip between banks i figured i could get a 4x one to work as well. never could get the synth to recognize the cart though. i still have it breadboarded somewhere.

how are you getting on with this synth?

i never even looked at the sequencer, i think im going to have a look at that over the next few days.
