Programming a nice kick with the Mbase11 ?

i got a motu ultralight mk2 so maybe i should use the internal comp with the eq. for the live stuff. But i will try it first with my rnla comp

I cant listen right now though and have the feeling that is going to sound more like a low passed 909 kick. Try it and see. I just remember that particular patch being like an 808, but I think I have changed it since I got the mbase.

could also be a send/return on the mixer... or he isn't using his mbase for kicks, but for basslines

So i put now some compression and eq from my motu on and it sounds actually really brilliant. i will check out ur configuration later.

there are a couple ways to run the mbase. using note mode and then the pitch mode. The machine makes quite a different sound in each mode imo. I keep going back to note mode so i can tune the kick really simply... but i'm wondering what others are doing here?
