laptop vibration padding / feet...

Post by cloutier »

does anyone know of a good, compact, reliable set of feet or a padding for laptops to minimize vibrations and isolate the computer better?

josh wink had a nice foam mat of some sort that he was using, and when i played with brian sanhaji the other week, he had these awesome little half-cups that you put under each corner that were great for isolation.

i'm on the prowl, since not every place has stands for laptops, and i hate bringing my own.

thanks!!

maybe a big thick gamer mousepad?

like that http://shop.steelseries.com/index.php/s ... heavy.html

6 mm thick

you could even get 2 and put them over each other so 12 mm should be a decent vibrations catch

Have you had problems with your laptop when not using a laptop stand?
In my 3-4-5 years of laptop'ing, I have never used a laptop stand and have never had problems...

no problems, but i'd like to extend the life of the hd as much as possible, and tons of vibration definitely doesn't help.
