If you want to give them a quick brush, get one of these:

You brush the brush against the plastic to get rid of the dust without having to touch it.

I don't want 'to give them a quick brush'. I want to give this noisy bitch a deep glue cleaning.

Re: Vinyl Cleaning Solution Solutions
friend of mine has one of those.. washed a lot of records, always amazed by the result.. gonna get one myself asap..

you just mix the glue in the right proportion and spread it on the record with a brush.. afterwards the little arm sucks all of it perfectly out of every groove in one round..
considering the cleanness of the record it looks like perfetcly new.. when i had records with surface noise because of dust, i sometimes got rid of it totally..

I don't think this will improve the sound of the record. I feel sorry for you if that's what you do when one of your records gets dirty. That would explain why you're so tense though.eggnchips wrote:Well go and glue your dck to a tree.
Glue? Surely, you must mean cleaning fluid?roland wrote:you just mix the glue in the right proportion
Re: Vinyl Cleaning Solution Solutions
yeah.. the consistency of it is like glue and i read it somewehre here so i thought that it is some kind of common speech for it..breton wrote: Glue? Surely, you must mean cleaning fluid?
in real it's absorbing liquid which is included in the shipment mixed with distilled water..
Re: Vinyl Cleaning Solution Solutions
to really clean a vinyl you need the maschine.
cause without the maschine who sucks the liquid out, you only spread the dust around the record and not clean it.
there is no magic cleaning fluid, they all use the more or less the same stuff.
distilled water, a form of alcohol for example isopropanol and a surfactant (read up why you need this)
but all this is useless without the maschine cause you cant 100% dry the record after cleaning without the maschine.

Are you saying we should all ditch vinyl and use the Maschine instead?Themis wrote:to really clean a vinyl you need the maschine.
