Something a little different from me here, tried some atmospheric drums so would love to know how to improve them if they need improving. Any other feedback would of course be welcome :)

Yeah, i based a bit more work on what I'm doing behind the melody with this one, was definately the aim.

For the sound in the back which I think you are referring too, i've basicly used a moving distortion flanger effect. For the short volume raises that occur on a couple of occasions its due to cutting the sample in half and placing it on top of the full sample to give a short sudden burst feel. Hope this answers what you meant. If not, try me again and i'll answer you. :)

hell yeah this melody thingy is so cool :)
I'd def pay more attention to the bd. Too loud in some places imo.
and some quirky bassline would do only good i think.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the bd does need cutting down a bit, will lower the volume a touch. I'll work on a bassline, hopefully I can get one that will work with the stuff going on in the back, will post the completed track here soon. :)

wow that melody in the back is some dark scratchy sound - very nice. almost sounds like a vocal. take the reverb off the kick, well not all of it, but most of it, and drop level a little of BD.

nice little loop here
