Hello everyone

I'm Simon, and I'm from the UK originally (Manchester) but since 2000 I live in Sydney Australia, where both the weather and the ladies are hotter!

There isn't much of a minimal scene here, but I DJ at and throw a monthly free party called 'High-Jinks' which has been going for nearly a year now and is going well - being in Australia means it's not possible to book international acts unless you have $$$$ but we have a lot of good DJ talent here anyways and we're slowly building the sound. I love Wighnomy Bros the most at the moment.

If any of you want to come on holiday to Australia let me know!

This looks like a great board and I hope to spend more time here!

Welcome here simonfromuk, nice to hear from the scene down under! By the way, is Phil Smart still going strong in Sydney? Was their in '96 and I was totally into his sound.... don't know if I would still be nowadays though..

Hey Renton,

Yeah, Phil Smart still gets around and plays quite a few parties - I think he has a residency at the Chinese Laundry. He and Sugar Ray used to throw some killer parties called Tweekin' - some of the best parties I've been to.
