Regarding Montreal's scene

Ok guys, read carefully.

We do not have a lot of minimal nights in Montreal. When we have any, we do not have a lot of people attending. I know we have a lot of producers and good music coming out from here but believe me, almost none of us play here ... we all need to travel to get some gigs.

I'm writing this because in the last 24 hours, I think I spent a few hours explaining on and on about our scene that everyone think it's huge. We have Mutek and that's about it.

or Chicago....I think our Minimal Scene kicks ass(comparatively speaking).....its no Berlin, but pretty damn good!

i guess it was the same way with the techno scene in stockholm...
there were these big artists like Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Peter Benisch, Jesper Dahlbäck just to name a few but the clubscene was a nono.

i will second that Vlad, chicago's minimal scene has exploded. On any given week I can find at least a few minimal djs somewhere. Such a big city and alot to do.
