TIC TAC TOE RECORDS
- the Danish label for high end minimal house and techno – proudly presents one of the strongest burning electronic producers at the moment: TRENTEMØLLER.

Copenhagen based Anders Trentemøller is no stranger to record buyers. Be it his own releases – be it remixes of others: Everything he touches at the moment turns to massive attention turns to hits.

So far he has released records on Naked Music, Poker Flat, Audiomatique, Out Of Orbit, 3rd Floor and now on Tic Tac Toe. He’s turned the knobs on a vast array of remixes in a number of genres – and is playing live all over Europe with his partner in crime DJ TOM. Last time we checked, their calendar was totally booked out 3-4 months ahead.

For this remix job we were very happy to assign Marek Hemmann and Mathias Kaden, because these two guys are on a stellar flight to minimal heaven. They have released three 12“s on Freude Am Tanzen – all very deep, almost hypnotic and always moving records which all have been small clubhits. They’ve already applied their remixing skill churning out really cool mixes of Anja Schneider (PIAS Rec.), DJ Shirakura (Boxer Rec.) and Adam Kroll (Traum Schallplatten). It was with huge expectations that we waited for their take on one of the sizzling names in the electronic scene at the moment. And damn, they delivered.

Tracks:
Serenetti (Hemmann & Kaden Remix)
Hemmann & Kaden have stripped a prime time club track to the bones and turned it into a deep and ultra minimal but still dynamic 8 minute journey. This fits perfectly for the after hours - but please: Take good care of your brain, okay?

Serenetti
Trentemøllers trademark dynamic arrangements and infective, groovy beats is sure to make this the soundtrack for peak hour dance floor action. And that pushing razor-sharp sound might very well tear the club up.

Gush
This track is a two-hitter. It starts out slower than usual for Anders – with a housy beat and wide-open sounds. But don’t get fooled. Watch out for the breakdown that takes the track to another level and leaves the ravers with their hands in the air, screaming for more.

Feedback:

Matthias Tanzmann (Moon Harbour - Leipsig):
I really like the Hemmann & Kaden remix! I will play it a lot!

Anja Schneider (Mobilee - Berlin):
One of the nicest record of the week. Always will be played at the beginning of my show !!!!

Karmarouge (Cologne):
Let me say that I absolutely love the new tictactoe :-) Definetly a masterpiece. Probs to Anders!

De:Bug Review:
Sometimes life is just simple. You take the record from the cover, nothing written on the label, let the needle drop and… Trentemøller! Crystal clear, ice cold, You can not guess wrong. Bonus points for me because I spotted it on the Hemman & Kaden Mix even though it has a Nathan Fake sound to it. Good or? “Takes guts” as it is called in Germany and I’ll be happy to participate. Alas, The Ice Age is coming back. On the flipside the original, a little more progressive, tighter in the sequences and a more simple beat and nicely dark without a drop of depression. Perfectly ending with “Gush” that reminded me that I would like to hear if Guido Schneider and Trentemøller could work together sometime (in the future).

Partysan Review
(fn)

Reynold (Duplex 100 / Trenton - Berlin):
Just burning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan Crosson (Trapez/Tic Tac Toe – Detroit):
Gush is my favourite...these others are both good though...a little ravy at times, excellent micro sounds, reminds me of Ricardo Villalobos at times with certain filters and low ms delays.

Mark-Henning (Freude-Am-Tanzen/Frankie Records – London):
My favourite Trentemøller so far :) Gush is an absolute killer.

John Tejada (Palette Recordings – Los Angeles):
The Hemmann & Kaden mix is my fave just because it's stripped down a bit. I'll play it out for sure.

Martinez (Out Of Orbit – Copenhagen):
Serenetti (original) is my favourite.

Brian Ffar (Tic Tac Toe – Chicago):
A: Serenetti (Hemmann & Kaden Remix)
Very tracky, minimal mix with a nice deep emotional feel to it. It would fit perfectly at an after-hours, and could possibly cause some brain damage :)
B1: Serenetti
Very intelligent track with some very off-kilter sounds and a very dynamic arrangement, which I really like. Keeps me interested the whole way through, and I would definitely play this one too.
B2: Gush
This one is my favourite out of all three. Love the big room sounds, the housey beat and everything in-between! Can't wait to play this one out!

Daniel Rajkovic (!K7 / WMF / Tresor – Berlin):
Cool tracks. I really like them! Looking forward to this new TTT release!

Really like the H & K mix... perfect hypnotic deepness. The originals are cool as well, I can see them killing on a peak time dancefloor
