since machines & computers don't have genital parts, so I'd say it really doesn't matter at all, but I must admit I'd like to meet more female producers, it would be easier to start a conversation, as I never have much to say and apart from music I don't have really a life !

LOL! I have to admit I find this thread a bit insulting.
I'm a female. I produce, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE obtaining and learning new software. Also, many of my lady DJ friends have expressed interest in, are working at learning how to produce, or are putting out tracks. There are just more males than females in this industry, so the ratio will always be weighing in that direction.
That's all I have to say, I won't speak for the entire gender because I don't believe in generalizing.
