Your favourite expressive midi controllers

Post by mazee »

I've recently been becoming frustrated with a lack of expressiveness in programming my music. At the moment I'm just using a midi keyboard with a few assignable knobs. Are there any really creative, hands on midi controllers out there? I'm aware of MPC-style trigger pads, which may be the way to go, but what are your favourite crazy midi devices for playing with sound in an unusual way?

Hey! Where did that thread go that linked to an online version of this controller?!?!?! It was cool, I wanted to go back and play with it but I can't find it and I erased my browser history.

Please help! If you know what I am talking about link it up here. thx

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it :D

That looks goddam sweet. Quite expensive, but may be worth saving up for.

k... k... now for a serious one.

Given the right midi controller... you could do something like this...

which essentially is a scale with notes mapped to faders... amazing.
