What is Minimal

Post by Sneaky »

I seen a similar post but I decided to post this anyways, justs some questions.
What is Minimal?
What makes a track a Minimal work or art?
Is minimal a music genre, state of mind, lifestyle, or all or some of the same?
Who was the father/mother of Minimal?
In the music sense what sets the classification, parameters, limits, boundaries, structure, arrangement, and order of a Minimal track?
How do you become a critic...one who reviews and states ideas on the worth of Minimal music?
How do you compare Minimal music to any other music?
Do you think Minimal music spawned a thought process or way of living?
How do you think the creator of Minimal music came up with their first Minimal music track?
Why did human beings classify this music as Minimal?
Why did you agree with this classification?
Would you consider yourself a Minimal person, or someone who just listens to Minimal music?

Obviously their can be some objective answers and some subjective answers, and I have some of my own personal thoughts on Minimal and as of late this genre has sparked some thought process. I dont think you need to put alot of thought into answering my questions and would prefer the first thing that comes to your mind would be your answer and not really looking or qouting someone else or the study of this genre but your own personal opinion. Thanks Sneaky :)

i think a good question to add:

Why are people so damn infatuated with something being classified
as minimal?

it is what it is.
