After being charted throughout the past few months with his label’s previous release ‘Slower lov’, Cesare vs Disorder continues to deliver the goods on his ‘Mean’ imprint with a divine release from long-term friend and musician Ollie Silva aka Canary Fontaine. Here we are again with some obscure yet funky, driving and danceable material: the recognisable trademark sound that Mean has been carving for the past two years. There’s a certain Latin vibe throughout the whole EP that shows Ollie’s Chilean background, especially when he adds his live musical skills with congas, toms, guitars, basses, voices, anything he can get his hands on!
The productions on this release are delicate and refined, with ‘Clothes horses’ being a deep rhythmic and harmonious jazz adventure, while ‘Arizona creeping and ‘Cindy says so (feat. Eddie Smith aka Zippy)’ result in some very solid minimalist bouncy techno, two powerful alternatives that simply roll many danceable and percussive elements into one package, perfect for dark rooms during journey times. Cesare vs Disorder's Noctambular version of ‘Cindy says so’ will be on the vinyl release to add some spice to the dancefloor in his usual psichadelic way.
2 classy remixes coming only in digital format from Russian comrades Easy Changes and Moforize and a harder version of Arizona creeping from Canary Fontaine himself.
