Let me spell it out: Minus is one big marketing/PR machine.

That's why.

Richie does a mix for DJ Magazine, all the tracks come out at the same time on Minus, Minus makes a lot of money.

well, it's pretty normal that a label licences some tracks for a compilation and also makes them available as single tracks. It's good promo for all these up and coming artists plus obviously some income for M-nus (and for artists involved)

I guess the unusual thing it's that someone does a free mix for a mag using 100% unsigned material which gave the chance to M-nus to sign all the tracks for single track download.

Not a big fan of most of the tracks on the comp though, I have to say...
