22-11-08 Delete Warehouse Rave w/ Chris Box [run, netaudio]

Post by joe-delete »

.:DELETE WAREHOUSE RAVE PT. 1:.
.:Bringing the wonk to Cambridge:.

Our first adventure having flown the nest in Bournemouth will be a monumental step for Delete. Those closest to us know we have long been looking for the perfect opportunity for a grubby, back to basics warehouse location to bounce or sound around, and now it's happening. Joining forces with Horseplay Records, we will be hosting a stonking all-night mash up in a secret location on the outskirts of Cambridge with a fully operational rig primed to knock your face off.

On beat patrol will be our dear friend Chris 'Boxman' Box, fresh from his birthday celebrations for Runsounds the night before(!). Le Jockey is one of the driving forces behind Horseplay, our connections into the Cambridge underworld, and since he first started sending us tunes for Alt Recordings we've been hooked on his driving, funky sound. Tone Def and Mr Smith will be in full effect with their smorgasbord of electronic dirt-bombs, and Sam I Am rounds out the Horseplay representatives.

Being in such a desirable location, you'll have to email jpdavies[at]tesco.net or oli[at]deletetechno.com for full directions on reaching this rave haven. Whether you're trekking up from Bournemouth or live just round the corner, this will be one Delete to tell the grandkids about.

Hey Sylvain!

How's things bro?

This is our first project since finishing the regular parties down in Bournemouth, but we've got some things coming up in 2009 around London, Bristol a bit more irregular and very possibly bournemouth too.

I trust you have a bag of serious warehouse tackle in waiting for us Chris...

For me warehouse styles are all about the darkest sh!t possible. I did a mix last week but it's a bit big to upload to my servwer. Still track list went something like this:

1. Matthew Dear - And In The Night
2. STL - Strains Of Nowhere
3. Phuture - Acid Trax
4. 808 State - Flow Coma
5. Plastikman - Marbles
6. Neil Landstrumm - Big In Chapeltown
7. Andy Stott - Edyocat
8. Ark & Dolibox - Hinano
9. Audion - T.B
10. Coco Steel & Lovebomb - Feel It
11. Mike Shannon - Suddenly Hossed
12. Bodycode - World Without End
13. Marcel Dettmann - Quicksand
15. Kenny Larkin - Colony
16. Matthew Dear - Future Never Again
17. Repeat Repeat - City of Angels
18. S-Max - Wake Me For Meals
19. Frankie - Fit
20. Basic Channel (Phylyps) - Untitled
21. Mathew Jonson - Typerope
22. The Third Man - Onwards & Upwards

A couple of shaky transitions in there but if you feel it appropriate to drop any of those tunes I'll be a happy raver
