starts @ 22.00 h and is totally for free!!!!!

Renton (Marco van Sluijs) gets influenced by music at a young age. His parents’ records at home become a musical discovery for him. Pink Floyd and David Bowie are the introduction to music, to be followed by the sounds of the eighties from bands such as Depeche Mode, the Human League and Visage. Mid 90’s he visits a house-party for the first time and the electronical dance-music doesn’t let him go anymore. It still takes until 1997 to purchase himself two turntables and a mixer. His sound through the years develops from the harder techno to a sound which is funkier, groovier and more electronical. Gigs in history include Mazzo and TWSTd in Amsterdam as well as P60 in Amstelveen and a residency at DJ-bar "De Luxe" in his hometown Amersfoort. Besides DJ-ing he is also busy reviewing vinyl and CD-releases for the Xpander-site since early 2002.

damn gonna miss this one. Just came back home from my holidays in Greece. On top Mr Garnier and Mr Mills made my last bit of energy fade away last saturday

Last weekend i distributed 1500 post-its, 300 flyers, 150 emails for moody mondays. Renton drove 300km, to serve us a 3 hour excursion into deep, emotional, minimalism. (thx!! the set was awsome!!) Unfortunatly nobody was there to hear it!! So i gues it all ends here.... Today i will play Renton's mixcd at the recordstore where i work all day long out off respect, for his musical vision, and the fact that i realy want him to be heard, if not at moody mondays, then somewhere else.....

hmm,sad to read this actually...
maybe a monday during the summer wasn't the best time in a university town,
maybe try again during the academical year on a thursday? just a tip

here´s an idea, why don´t you ask frank from food if you can't continue your concept at the 2nd floor of the restyled musicafe on the food nights...
