chicago house labels

getting into the chicago house sound lately....anybody has some good chicago house labels they recommend? i like the more pounding stuff zip plays......

Look into Derrick Carter, Justin Long, Diz, Bryan Jones, Dj Heather, Miles Maeda etc.

i'd recommend Cajual / Relief for good Chicago sounds

Yeah, Zip's sets are more bumpty house than anything really. So I would also definitely recommend Classic as the main source for that.

I dont know much about new Chicago House, but i used to be realy into the old stuff before. Relief is one great label, Radikal Fear too.

for the jackin' stuff (end 80's begin 90's)
trax, dj international, dance mania, hotmix 5
not always easy to get, and comes with a nice price tag
