unfoundsound is stoked to present barem from buenos aires, argentina. mauricio barembuem (a.k.a. barem) spends much of his days djing and developing his sound. barem's work is singularly deep and minimal with a timbral sensibility that is intermittently harmonic. "zoom" is deep, cut-and-paste experimentation that digs wholeheartedly into the center of your bobbing head. "suki" is a dancefloor killer fueled by an alluring bassline, an electro undertone and an energy level that smoothly increases as the track progresses. "klein kloob" is a moody groove machine that offers straightforward percussive arrangement augmented with found elements and peppered with digital effects. "miniban" steps up the funk element with a pumping sub-bassline and swinging percussion. "undo" gently glides with a microhouse feel, hypnotic vibrations and a rolling triplet bassline. finally, the ep closes with barem's own reinterpretation of "klein kloob" -- a tracky, stripped-down minimal gem suited for the dancefloor. c'mon and spoil yourself with six whopping minimal must-have's -- each offering sparse linearity attenuated with calculated funk.
