AFX analord series

Post by gusta »

Not really minimal records, but I know you are all broad-minded people so hopefully it's not a problem. 8)

What are you thoughts/views about this records?

I only bought analord 4 & 5 and yeah what can I say..

Home made polysinth on Analord 4 is such an emotional track, beautiful. Other song on the A side is also very good.
On Number 5 we can find 2 masterpieces; Brilliant tracks.

for me this is great nostalgia in new shapes. i really love some of the tracks, while others are a bit boring and too messy in their structure imo. it certainly isn't very unique or groundbreaking in any way, but i would propably say that some of these tracks are afx's best work ever. lovely sick melodies and mindblowing harmonies, not to mention the awesome 303-programming. timeless analog goodness. could almost have been made 20 years ago and will probably be done again in 20 years from now.
the ultimate minimal is silence_
