hello everyone, i would like to take this opportunity to announce that my new album has a release date!

it will be the last week of october 2007 on berlin based b pitch control (the label of ellen allien for those who dont know)

the album title is
"love and beyond from the schizophrenic mind of jay haze"

it is a trip into soul and funk like no other i have taken before.
some of you might have heard pre-versions i tested on my myspace player, and if you responded i really appreciate it as this defeintly helped the whole process!
anyway i will have more info coming soon, if you are a journalist please contact me and i will get you a promo copy asap.
i hope everyone is enjoying a good start to summer...

much love from berlin

UPDATED 11/10/07
Hi everyone,

Plans for this album have changed since Jay's original quoted
post. Of course he did work with BPitch for the recent
Fuckpony 12" single, but the new solo record will bear the
TuningSpork imprint. The release date has been pushed back
until the first quarter of next year.

Jay considers this album his masterwork, a 35-song opus
divided into three components: vocal hip-hop/R&B, genre-
hopping instrumentals, and straight-up dancefloor material.
This release shows a new direction for Jay, but at the same
time, shouldn't surprise anyone who's been following his
various musical projects over the years.

More info to come!

I was quite surprised when he released on Cocoon as well. Didn't think he'd be into that sort of label.
