Tinnitus/"Musicians Earplugs"

Post by crooked »

Hello,
I am wondering if any of you use Musician's Earplugs? I have been looking at several models which all claim to reduce all frequencies equally, hence allowing you to listen properly to the music without damaging your (precious) ears.

I want to buy some, and would be interested to know which brand you recommend. The fundamental choice is between custom made or one size fits all. Due to the costs involved I will be purchasing the latter.

The British Tinnitus Associaton recommends these.
honey lovin' you is the greatest thing, I get to be myself and I get to sing

I want some fitted ones made...

but I have used ones from earlove.net - they're little acoustic resistors and they drop audio fairly flatly by about 12dB...

not bad for a budget option :)

I saw a documentary on ear-damage once, and I have to say, it kinda scared me.
So I think earplugs are well worth spending some money on.

Yeah I have it too and you're right.
I have a pair the same as are being discussed here --> http://www.arcart.org/earplugs.htm

I've definitely found them worth the investment.
Having said that, anything protection is better than nothing, so if you don't have enough cash for custom made ones then the one size fits all is better than nothing at all.
