this problem is coming from your laptop power supply. I had the same horrible experience in a club once. I had this problem when using an audiophile USB soundcard - because its in outs are unbalanced
ground loop isolator will sort this. Personally I didn't like the idea of an unearthed power supply. I now use a balanced MOTU soundcard and this problem has never since been an issue.
