Re: Seems that Discogs blocks edits/bootlegs/etc for sale
not a bad approach in all honestly. how "political" this gets, what process used, and/or how they pick/choose the releases seems to be a sticky situation just waiting to happen. at least its some sort of filter that can be used from time to time.
I'm sure many could list a bunch of edits right now that aren't being blocked so... I think it could be a good thing for blatant samples, and price hikes on releases that could be purely based off a sample jack. good for them.

I don't this concerns just bootlegs as i recall seeing this before on the page of an official release. I guess a label/artist can block a release from the marketplace if he/she really wants to?

this would be interessting to know, an user wrote under the "TTJ" Label site:SanderMartin wrote:I don't this concerns just bootlegs as i recall seeing this before on the page of an official release. I guess a label/artist can block a release from the marketplace if he/she really wants to?
which would mean somebody can tell discogs and they check it?Sooo glad to have secured all these gems into my collection. I suppose these are not sanctioned by TT, but the man has had little time to arrange reissues of his genius work, so I guess somebody else did. These series of unofficial pressings include many tracks which are officially unissued, and maybe never will be.
