Using Windows VSTs in OSX

Post by adam »

There are lots of VSTs available to PC users that aren't available to myself as a mac/OS X user...

are their any wrappers/conversion tools or any way of making use of them on mac? (I am assuming the DLL files are the actual plugin files...?)

Anyone have any tips here? Or is it a lost cause like I suspect?

unfortunately there's a bit more than just recompiling necessary for making a osx valid plugin. indeed, that would be the only way.

You can purchase a VST wrapper from a company called Fxpansion. They provide a VTS to AU wrapper for MACOSX. Check out their website at www.fxpansion.com
