im still a beginner and after about 7 months of rigorously studying live i feel very comfortable with the application and have been really focusing on various plug-ins and reason 3. considering im new and my knowledge is limited comparatively i still feel live is an excellent tool to learn on with the sequencer, instruments and all the effects.
