mines a multi volt adapter i had it set to 9v, ive got it opened up now and my dads running a multimeter on all the solder points will get back to you! does your 101 give off a buzz/whine noise like mine too?

If your Dad has got a multimeter, he can check the voltage of the batteries. It is really not uncommon to get batteries with less that 1.5v output.

No, mine was making a crackling type noise with a little hum here and there. It was a cheap substitute PSU from the guy who I bought the synth off, just a normal 9v with switchable polarity but the 101 obviously didn't like it oor it was just fucked. Haven't tried any other PSU in it yet so I'm hoping all is ok. Mind you, I read you can expect about 12hrs of battery life from the 6 batteries, that's £2. I bet my electric meter wouldn't be far off that.

Yes, you're correct. I never even noticed that squiggly line saying 9v - 12v.

Anyway, rules that out then what I was wondering about a 12v psu.
