and if you really want to get down to it...
one of the best mixers ever made was the vestax pmc.50 / 55.

auch, that's the pride and joy of our glorious nation, Cloutier, be careful Rodec is the most rugged machine I've ever seen (and owned). It's great, but the eq range is a bit too "limited", only goes to -16 or something like that. But I doubt you'll find anyone in Belgium that hasn't played on rodec at one time or another.cloutier wrote:eggnchips wrote:I have a Rodec. It's the dog's balls.
i still fcking hate those things.
But for a place where it has to suffer abuse like youth centers or pubs where you get beer spilled over it or new dj's or -even worse- ash trays, I would swear by it: rodec can take all that and play on like it never happened. I know clubs here in Belgium where the rodec still is used that was put in there twenty years ago. Pioneer usually breaks down after twenty days
The pan thing is weird indeed, but many people don't like the gain on A&H either or the four band EQ... it's all a question of getting used to and knowing your mixers.

They need to be able to withstand the ass sweat of groupies and a good ounce or two of ash and blow falling into the cracks.JNX wrote:"Rugged" "Built like a tank" etc...
what are you guys doing with your mixers that you need them built to withstand being thrown down a canyon, (or down a fjord for you Scandinavian folks)
