With our thoughts still at the unforgettable Technootjes night in November (with Someone Else, Matt John en Bart Skils), the Groninger posse returns again with a minimal party clash in Simplon. Technootjes, one of the first organizations that brought the minimal experimental techno to the Dutch dance scene, presents 3 major headliners for this evening.
Having her residency in Berlin, Magda is at this moment one of the biggest stars in the minimal scene. Magda was discovered by the master Richie Hawtin himself. Magda works with Troy Pierce and Marc Houle also known as Run Stop Restore; this trio has made brilliant releases on the labels Minus and Telegraph. Magda will also release her first solo EP on Minus. With her dark, compelling final scratch sets, Magda travels all over the world, where she played on every respected party or festival.
Originally from Detroit, Ryan Crosson will make his debut in Holland at Technootjes. Ryan Crosson is one of the most upcoming talents in the (minimal) techno-scene. With his astonishing first release on Trapez he impressed many critics. The future for Crosson is promising with releases on Minus, Telegraph and the Trapez label. His live PA is compelling, varied and combines dark minimal sounds with a pumping drive.
For the local heroes from Groningen, Motio & E-Contact, a breakthrough nationally, but also world wide, is about to become reality. After respectful work in the local scene of Groningen, a live PA on Awakenings is also a fact. With their remix for Dissonance on the Phonocult label, their first appearance on vinyl will be accomplished. In the future, Motio & E-Contact will also come up with their first release on this label.
The residents van Technootjes, Delano, K.Cee, Orchid and William S will fill in the rest of the evening; in their own usual way. Delano warms up before Ryan Crosson en Magda, with his Serato as powerful tool. Upstairs, K.Cee, Orchid and William S will take the Technootjes party to the level that everyone is used to!....
