I remember back to 1993, when I lived in a very very small town (1.500 people) and no possibility for doing local record shopping...
My source was Frontpage dj charts, and from that ordering in a Copenhagen record store over the phone...
I guess a lot of people still look at charts and feedbacks to see what their preferred dj's plays...
Is it much different from reading a review of a record or reading a review of a movie before going seeing one?

perhaps you're assuming it's almighty and important ..

perhaps the label is just sharing who enjoys the record ya know..?
