Space Echo that's modelled after Rolands.

There's literally loads of spring reverbs about so I'm not sure whether you were after commercial or free? I really like the one by Softube: http://softube.se/spring_reverb.php

I like the GSI echo and have recommended before but sometimes it just seems impractical compared to other modern effects.. The noise floor on it is totally absurd imo especially since you can't adjust it. I've been enjoying Nomad Echoes recently for ITB stuff. I'm trying to think of other ones that are good... but i think those are my favorite emulations compared to some of these other ones...

Other contenders...
Band Echo http://www.bluenoiseplugins.com/plugins/bandecho This one is brand new... havn't tried it yet.
dubstation http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/prod ... ?pid=AD006
King dubby http://www.lowcoders.fr/

That all said... i definitely prefer my Strymon el Capistan pedal for more true tape delay style effects.

Mate, if you like a bit of noise ( controllable ) in your ITB signal chain and other mad stuff that really ages the signal check this out: http://www.toneprojects.com/products/pl ... -stx-1260/

Seriously, one of the best plugins I have come across ( for my needs ) So useful for a lot of things, it's like a 'must have' for me now in almost every ITB signal chain.

Yeah, dub scrolls stuff can be useful, the pitch warble effect on ( I forget now ) is cool for dub delays, they are free so, just download em and chain some stuff together and see what comes up. Anyone use Chainer? Another very useful tool to have.

I use the TAL-Audio delays quite a lot: http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-dub I find that those already add quite a pleasant grit to delays, and if combine with another saturation plugin of some sort it can sound really interesting.
May i also recommend this video if you're using live:
.
It shows how to setup a send to act as some sort of "dub" delay... If you go a bit crazy with the fx chain it can definitely yield interesting results.

But since getting the Strymon El Capistan ( http://www.strymon.net/products/elcapistan/ ), i don't think i'll be needing another delay soon, except maybe the Strymon Timeline :P

I second the dub scrolls man! I found the scrolls a couple years back and I have to say... when it comes to dub production I have found no better source of info since. Its been a year or two since I checked it out but some of the details were fantastic... like just how many ms you should set your delays to get that King Tubby effect,,, you don't find that quality of information just anywhere. Good website for sure!

The VST's are great too... if you read up they were created by the dub knowledge purveyor Interruptor using www.synthedit.com 's utilities which were programmed by Jeff McClintock who started the sound effects utility project way back in 1987. Big up to Interruptor and Jeff McClintock. Thanks guys!

A lot of creative tips and historical tidbits on the dub scrolls website! Any producer who neglects it is missing out regardless of genre. Its good stuff, no lie! A lot of people will float you a lot of this and that but the scrolls are for real. Just try the info and suggestions yourself.

To be honest I wish I followed the suggestions more carefully... could have made a super-duper album with the material I wasted by not recording my weird excursions....
