Alex C. Multhaup
"It's hard to live with art, but it is even harder to make a living out of it. Especially if you are not a star." And nevertheless for Alex Multhaupt the art is the most important thing. That is the background of everything coming.
We go back to 1995, the year that Alex Multhaup describes as the year of his crucial experiences. The year of the endless club nights in the legendary club "Aufschwung Ost" in Kassel, Germany. Affected by DJ's like David Alvarado, John Aquaviva or also Joey Beltram he decided to dedicate himself to DJ'ing with large passion by having his first gigs in various local clubs. In 1997 Alex Multhaup opens his first club "Space Station" in Hoexter, somewhere deep in Ostwestfalen. This was also the the place where Alex Multhaup and Gabriel Ananda met for the first time, which was the beginning of their friendship.
In 1998 Alex Multhaup and Gabriel Ananda produced their first joint 12" 'Da Hairy Belafontes', released on the German imprint 'H°Zrspielmusik'. Besides the North-Rhine-Westphalia youth culture price 'Arts and Music' was awarded to Alex Multhaup.
Afterwards he founded his Headquarter in Cologne, played as DJ on various events and launched Karmarouge Records in cooperation with Gabriel Ananda in 2000. Productions like 'For Love' or 'Wild Cherry' might probably be a common to all real Housemusiclovers.

Gabriel Ananda
Gabriel Ananda is back on the block with Karmarouge on his brilliant debut album 'Tai nasha no karosha' .
Like no one else Gabriel Ananda has proved during the past year that sturdy and rocking techno does not need to consist of sample structures lacking any melodic qualities. Because this, what is coming out of the boxes fresh and untouched, is the reinstitutialisation of detroitish values - the pairing of great emotional gestures and the uninevitable might of the 4 to the floor.

Mike Loewen
Maik Loewen started to come in contact to professional music very early. In his childhood he played the piano, guitar and drums. In the mid 90' he heavy-hearded sold his drumset and bought his first synthesizer. With the TB 303 being one of his first devices he immediately became addicted to electronic sounds and became quite skilled in using these new devices in his live sets and own productions. Following his first releases on Tonsport ("Arnika EP") and Trapez ("One year, one month") Mike finally appears on Karmarouge with "Mezcal" wich probably might be Maik Loewens best EP. His deep understanding for functional sounds, combined with the right mixture of genius and insanity, enables Mike to playfully produce extremely club-compatible tracks.
