1. Organo Scuro
2. Straniero

Miconn Records have set themselves extremely high standards with their debut release Gold Coast gaining impressive support from Dubfire, Christian Smith and Carl Cox. Release two continues to push the boundaries of deep tech cool with a collaboration between label boss Hermanez and the in demand Ramon Tapia.

Push an organ into a dark corner and have it brutally assaulted by a groove-hungry gang of latin approved drums and the outcome is pretty much that of Miconns second release. Syncopated sturdy percussion and hi hats sit amongst a spring-loaded beat whilst lazy organ keys relax the pace.

Having released and remixed on labels including Great Stuff, Craft Music and Turbo, Ramon Tapia brings his sickeningly high level of production to “Organo Scuro”. His love for Latin American sounds lend more than a nod towards this groove laden beat; as well pitched percussion and effects are sliced into deep seizure inducing layers of retro Chicago wonkiness.

On the flip, “Straniero” fuses driving techno rhythms with vibrant live percussion and hip slapping wood blocks, helping the groove to pop its head just enough over the relentless beat and give it that dance floor appeal. Whilst running with a clean chugging groove, “Straniero” loops itself into an infection loose rhythm.
