Totally agree

Which couple of artists is your favorite in all "Thinnergy"?

 Bern Vs Pheek
 Deluge Vs Gurtz
 Funzion Vs Theodor Zox
 LOD Vs Marko Fürstenberg

The best couple of artists in all "Thinnergy" is LOD Vs Marko Furstenberg in my opinion.

Interview with Sebastian Rendenz from Thinner:

> When and why did you started thinner?

Thinner has been founded 1998 by Thomas Jaldemark and was settled within the fasttracker II module scene, a pre-format of mp3 more or less. In 2001 Thomas and me decided to re-model thinner - we switched the output
format from .xm to .mp3, installed 192kbps bitrates, proper filenames & id3tags plus accompaning covers for a release. Besides, we decided that a thinner release should carry at least 2 songs which was very unlikely at that time, as most proto-netlabels did 1-track releases. The actual reason why I decided to work with thinner was that I wanted to have my own label, but am not willed to put money in it, as I consider the vinyl/cd market to be pretty dead besides only wanted to have fun with it, no business involved.

> what do you think of the use of mp3?

It's pretty established already as you can see - today any hifi product line comes without mp3 support, besides any dvd player supports it, also car hifi and my retarded siemens mobile also does mp3. Portable mp3 players like IPod are THE current gadgets and support from Software companies is also growing. There is no better efficient medium than mp3.OGG might sound better however is by far less supported, so that's why we can't use it at thinner.

> do you think is appropiate people use mp3s to performe at events?

Personally, I'm pretty split with this. On the one hand, mp3 is liberty being a dj, as you can bring thousands of records on a little external harddrive. On the other hand, from the visitors perspective, it looks super boring if a dj stirs at his laptop screen all the time and can't interact with the crowd.

Speaking about the quality aspect, mp3 makes sense also on big club p.a's, but only if the mp3 is encoded 192kbps upwards and furthermore, mastered by using full sonic headroom and dynamic eq'ing.

> I see some differences and some similarities betwwen your labels, whats the real difference between thinner and autoplate?

The real difference is the different output - Thinner relates more to dub inspired electronic music while Autoplate concerns versatile Soundimpressions, orchestral movements, organic ambient, digital folk, field recording and electro-acoustic soundscapes

> what are the future plans for thinner and autoplate?

First of all, doing more releases again. Second, remastering of the homepage. We'll see about the future once both points have been done.

Thanks and good luck with the event !:)
