Netlabels. Starting one.

Hello guys. I´m starting a netlabel, based in São Paulo - Brazil.

I have some doubts of how to run it...copyrights and the creative commons affiliation.

The guys out there who manage your labels, please help me!

BTW, the label is Vertigo2.5 and will release from microhouse to minimal techno and all this stuff we love!

Is it just start and put the site online? What is the creative commons?

Also important - check out the netlabel faq at archive.org. Unless you want to pay through the nose for bandwidth, you'll want to become friends with archive.org and host your music there

you just started yours 3 months ago (same for us at unfoundsound)

and I think having a microhouse / minimal techno netlabel based in brasil is a cool idea, coz it will give exposure to brazilian artists, which are pretty rare on this scene.... if they're as good as the chileans, this should be very interesting!

Yeah, another microhouse netlabel, but as I said not only microhouse. Truly I hate this genres and subgenres etc....We gonna release good music. That´s it.


Hey Cyhl, there are some nice artists here but I don´t want to release only brazilian stuff, It´s open for everybody. I promise, there won´t have any "samba microhouse" coming from us! :-)

yeah well, it won't be the last either! I don't see a problem with having many labels as long as they bring something new.
