[INMR005] Joey Anderson - Dozen Roses

Post by dudemaster »

If deep, spacey house is your thing, there's a good chance you probably already own quite a few Joey Anderson records. Following a number of successful excursions on Dekmantel he returns to his Inimeg Recordings imprint. Opener "Dozen Roses" is typical of Anderson's "deep space" style of house, with the track shuffling into life following a luscious ambient intro. He continues to explore the deepest realms of dancefloor music on "You Ain't Going Home With Me", where Ebony Ugu's simple, soulful vocal seemingly drifts over soft touch beats, dreamy chords and occasional jammed-out melody lines. Similarly soulful closer "Absolutely Eclectic" doffs a cap to early '90s UK "bleep and bass", whilst retaining Anderson's usual super-deep vibe.

Dozen Roses sounds dreamy.
