Mathew Jonson - Guided by Angels - It Is What It Is 12"

Post by Jesse Somfay »

And just after you thought Loveletter to the Enemy was huge enough, this little gem comes along. Two groovy and emotional tracks of Jonson's signature sound with gentle percussion, wonderful synth work and excellent programming. This is to be release on October the 17th.

You'll need Realplayer to listen.

That is true. Hearing his Live PA from Yel 2, there were a couple of different sounding tracks, but most were similar. I know of a remix he has done for Duplex 100...so I guess we'll see how his sound is on that. His remixes seem to be the more different tracks. Although I love everything he has done ;)

I agree. His sound is very good, but when they release to much tracks within a short period I get bored some kind of way, it's just to much of the same... But that happens with lots of artists btw.

I agree on this one as well.... quite a few producers seem to have found their sound, deliver (too) many tracks in a short period, and without developing their sound they often seem to be destined to be forgotten in a year or so.

Let's hope this won't happen and Mathew is inventive enough to come up with new ideas in the near future!
