Poker Flat Recordings

Post by michaelvl »

Poker Flat is the minimal tech-house label of the outstanding Berlin artist Steve Bug, who alone is responsible for the A and R section. The imprint was born 1998 as a follow up to Steve Bug´s former label Raw Elements and features mainly deep and reduced club sound with percussive elements as well as funky collages of minimal dance. Main artists: Steve Bug, Märtini Brös, Martin Landsky, Hakan Lidbo.

If u have a release which u don't play anymore, feel free to contact me

This label is just superb! It's been one of my favourites for quite a while now, and their releases seem becoming better all the time. The last release by Guido Schneider (PF47) is definitely one of the favourites over the last wee while.

I won't contact you, but nice topic!!

I'm also quite partial to this label too....

ADJD's Stocktown Bizness EP has been on high rotation for a little while now - we were also lucky enough to get a Pokerflat tour of sorts a couple of years ago now in Melbourne - Steve Bug playing a 5 hour final scratch set on the Friday night - and a live Maritini Brothers "performance" on the Sunday - but then again you guys in Europe probably get this or similar quite often....

Ahhh - and you can't forget Hawtin's Night Like This remixes.........
