TIC TAC TOE RECORDS
- the Danish label for high end minimal house and techno – is back with it’s 8th release and again it’s our homeboys ‘Hansen & DJ Daniel’.

Their last release on Tic Tac Toe, was an enormous hit, which sold out very fast and we had to do a quick re-press in order to keep up to all the orders that came in. Also the boys received very good reviews and fantastic feedback from some of the worlds best DJ’s and just lately, the ‘DJ Spell Acid Mix’ of ‘Wreck’ was licensed to a new mix CD that will be mixed by Ivan Smagghe of Black Strobe and included together with a new interactive city guide from Time Out. It will be released in late September 2005.

On this release they present to us:

Techniques Of Hospitality The title track of the record is a typical Hansen & DJ Daniel, just as you know them from, especially, their Trapez Ltd. releases. It is dry, dry and dry, but just with that little twist that makes this track so much better than their earlier stuff. Again they have mixed it up with some trancey stuff coming in late in the track, doing a perfect blend of the hard and the soft mixed together. Sounds weird? Well, try it out yourself, this track works perfectly on the dance floor.

Absteiger Hard punchy kick drum and a fantastic bassline make this track a peak hour floor packer, this track is surely this records most energetic track and we’re sure it will be well received by those DJs that are packing it just a bit harder. It has been thoroughly dancefloor-tested by TTT label owner DJ Patrick Bateman, and is also featured in the live sets of Hansen & DJ Daniel. Let's be brutally honest: it's the business!

PWY (Instrumental) TTT headquarters favourite track on this release. An amazing and emotional piece. In our opinion the best track they have ever done. Trippy (almost trancey) sounds, dry kick drum (as you could expect), great bassline, and a melody to die for. This track will rip you apart at those crazy after-hours, where God himself intended this track to be played. Amen.

Feedback:

Anja Schneider / Mobilee - Berlin
I really like the PWY (Instrumental) from Hansen & DJ Daniel.

Beam Me Up Magazine - Review by Mathias Schaffhaeuser

01 Koerner & Treplec – untenrumgehtbesser (Milnormodern/Kompakt)
02 Phage & Daniel Dreier – Salt & Vinegar (Highgrade Rec./Word & Sound)
03 Daso - Daybreak (MBF/Kompakt)
04 Donnacha Costello – Bear Bounces Back (Minimise/Kompakt)
05 Diverse – Tuning 03 (Boxersport/Kompakt)
06 Play’n’Fill – Galaxy Empire (DIY Electronics/Kompakt)
07 Renato Figoli – Let Fernando In (LoFi Stereo/Kompakt)
08 Hansen & DJ Daniel – Techniques Of Hospitality (Tic Tac Toe/Intergroove)
09 Dominik Eulberg - Flora und Fauna Remixe Teil 1/Justin Maxwell Mix (Traum/Kompakt)
10 Sell & Snackman – Zuckerware (Ware/Kompakt/MDM)

Jeremy P. Caulfield / Dumb-Unit - Berlin
Playing the B2 track. Super dry, but works nicely. I dropped it at the last couple parties!
Keep it up.

Frankie - Frankie Records - Paris
It's more progressive, melodic , and atmospheric. Not exactly my style, but it's cool for a dj set.

Mike Shannon / Cynosure - Valencia
I'll be playing the sh!t out of that, this weekend at the Street Parade in Zurich.

It's delayed due to the fact that the artists originally thought to be on the record together with Brian Ffar, was too slow. Therefore I went with CANT instead, and the record will be sent to mastering next week.

Next record coming is Trentemøller with Hemmann & Kaden remix

Raveline review / Germany
(ml)

Houston Beats / USA
This Danish twosome have been clicking on all cylinders lately and with this EP they've brought their "A" game once again. The title cut will remind you of their Trapez releases with the same dry, twisted minimal percussion, tranced-out backing synths and the perfect blend of the hard and the soft. 'Absteiger' does the biz behind a cranking electronic kick and fantastic b-line. By far the most energetic thing they've done, followed by the dreamy sounds and emotional melodies of 'PWY' which returns to their dry, crisp sound.
