TIC TAC TOE RECORDS
- the Danish label for high end minimal house and techno – is back with it’s 4th release.

After the huge success of their first release on Tic Tac Toe (Too Much Leisure Remix EP), we’re proud to present another explosive hit by Hansen & DJ Daniel, and again featuring the great vocals of Jakob Kosteljanetz.

This time, the duo has come up with the track ‘Wreck’ - a straight forward techno track with Jakob’s vocal. Drier than ‘Too Much Leisure’, but also more pumping. It is certainly a track that will move the dance floors.

First remix is by Frankie from Frankie Records, Paris / France. Frankie has been spinning records and turning knobs since 1996. In 2003 he started the label Frankie Records. His very unique sound gave him a lot of attention when he put out two white labels. In early 2004, he got a distribution deal with WAS – and then things started happening.

Several of Frankie’s releases have been in the Top 10 of German Groove magazine and have been charted and played by all the big DJ’s all over. His style is a mixture of the old jackin’ Chicago sound and the more modern minimal clicks. You can hear Frankie’s characteristic approach clearly in his remix of ‘Wreck’, where he’s twisted the vocals 180 degrees. Very unique remix and very party! This should rock all floors.

Second remix is debut remix by Russian DJ Spell. He is one of the key players in the Moscow house/techno scene. Has had several radio shows, done lots of parties, released a few records and played as DJ in nearly every club possible in Russia. He is certainly one of the new stars of the Russian electronic scene.
In his remix of ‘Wreck’, DJ Spell sticks very close to the original. And then again – maybe not. He has turned the track into a very acidic track, more pumping, more distorted and definitely very suitable for the peak hour of the night. A very good and HOT remix.

The last track on the record is ’99 Names’ - a long instrumental track in the dry Hansen & DJ Daniel style, which we all love - but combined with a slower, moody, sad touch. For those rainy afternoons or that cool room next to the main floor, you know what we mean.

Tic Tac Toe Records Is taking off. Our aim is a primary (but not exclusive) focus on all the interesting minimal house/techno talent that Denmark has to offer – with some high class remixing talents thrown in for good measure.

Our next release introduces Canadian Pheek and a debut remix from Martin Dacara (3rd Floor) and label owner Patrick Bateman. Release is scheduled for May.

De-Bug Review:

Reynold (Trenton/Morris Audio/Duplex 100):
I found the record very good actually. I like the long 2nd track on daniel and hansen side.. the long one !!! Super cool.. thats the one I will play...
the frankie remix is cool too.. even though the structure of the track is a bit weird... and not easy to mix... the other remix is not really my sound I think.. but I still wanna give it a shot on a big sound system..
anyway.. once again great release.. good job :-)

John Tejada (Palette Records):
I dug all the Tic Tac Toe I got from you and from thomas. all very cool. thanks so much. i think i got 3 out of 4 of them. i also have the Brian Ffar track that is upcoming on the next one. looks to be a cool new label.

My absolutely favourite is B2!! The Frankie rmx is great 2.... but I will need to listen to it on a big soundsystem again.

Mike Shannon (Cynosure):
Just got back from some dates in Detroit, Toronto and Kitchener. I picked up the record on Monday of last week. I played the Frankie mix on Tuesday in Montreal...it rocked! I played the remix again in Detroit on Friday it rocked and one more time in Kitchener and it blew the roof off! So thanks again for the promos...keep up the good work my man!

Beam Me Up Review:
Hansen & DJ Daniel feat. Jakob Kosteljanetz Wreck EP (Tic Tac Toe Rec./Intergroove)
(ms)

Electric Indigo (Indigo:Inc):
Hansen & DJ Daniel- Wreck EP (ttt004-6)
5/5, she plays A1 and B2 and is going to chart the record in a top position

Laurent Garnier (F Com):
Hansen & DJ Daniel- Wreck EP (ttt004-6)
4/5, he plays A1 and B1, the record is in his radio playlist

I could be blind but I don't think I've seen any of these in Minneapolis so far. I'm in NYC right now so I could pick up some of them before I leave, if you know anywhere in the city that has them, but do you also know of any places that I could order from when I get back to mpls.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the help!

Hey man,

I've just sent an email to InterGroove and asked them which recordstores they're selling to in the US. I'll post the answer when I get it...
