It's my first post here so Hi guys!
First of all I just want to sorry for my English, its not my main language.
I was reading this forum from time to time and I have got my first questions.
I have read a lot of stuff about how to resample and how to process the sound (eq, fx, amp's etc.) but still I think I missed something.
How to build beats which are 'super simple' and sounds really really good? Here are the two examples which I am listening to over and over.
1. Shifted - Gateshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra8_z7t0MpQ
hi-hats are insane for me, have no idea how to achieve that result, I hear reverb (but not metallic reflections) and at first I was thinking that are 909 samples but not sure anymore.
2. Ø [Phase] - Misalignedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jb_h7MAgJY
How to achieve this bass? It's some kind of toms or what? Have you any ideas?
Also if you have a moment here are my demos, you can point me what I am doing wrong.
My beats are pretty simple but there is something wrong with the sound, maybe cutting eq too drastically? Help
All advice are welcome!
