looking for a quality arp vst or max patch to use with ableton that can do a random pattern as well as perhaps lose sync and drift. any ideas?

actually, seems like the pluggo pack for max for live has a pretty robust arpeggiator...

yeah teh m4live ones are pretty good and integrate with your workflow. plus customize.

i've also used this one...

If you're looking into generating sequences and more, you should try out Numerology. It's the best software MIDI sequencer I've come accross. Plus you can very easily re-wire it to your DAW and simply record the sequences you like.
