CD ripping - sections

Post by lem »

Hi Forumites,

Does anyone know if there is a way to rip just a section of a CD? I'm sure I used to have a program where I could just rip/import a definable section...
I can't remember where it was, i think it might have been logic or cubase.

Anyway, im going to check tonight, but if you guys have any idea's then it would be a massive help :)
Cheers

I think you've got it, but I can't be bothered to rip whole tunes. I'm just used to sampling from vinyl straight into an audio channel. I seem to remember something that could select an area of a cd or mp3 and just import that. Rather than filling a project folder up with unwanted audio, plus the time it takes dicking around with files...

...I miss my studio. :(

Any audio editor should do it, at least rip the track, then edit. Or just record the section into it as a wave file.
