Bass of Trus´me W.A.R dub

hey guys always wanted to know how to get this muffled out bass like in this trusme track. it seems like it is common for dub techno i also heard this kind of bass in many productions till now but i cant come behind how its done. yeah maybe one of you gyus knows.

This is a fairly easy sound to get by really...
What have you tried?

Using kick drum reverbed gated an filtered as bassline, sine waves of a synth and 808kicks with some hicut and attack as bassline. Somehow it never gets in the direction of this dubby bassline stuff..

Hm could it be layered sine waves in different ocatves mixed together and the higher with some saturation???
